چکیده
In this paper, we constructed new arcs in the three-dimensional projective space over GF(13) of degrees 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 18, 19, 23, 28, 30, 47, 55, 98 and sizes 17, 20, 34, 35, 68, 70, 85, 119, 140, 170, 238, 340, 476, 595, 1190. These are classified to complete incomplete arcs. Also, extended

On Petri Nets with Hierarchical Special Arcs
We investigate the decidability of termination, reachability, coverability and deadlock-freeness of Petri nets endowed with a hierarchy on places, and with inhibitor arcs, reset arcs and transfer arcs that respect this hierarchy. We also investigate what happens when we have a mix of these special arcs, some of which respect the hierarchy, while others do not. We settle the decidability status ...
متن کاملt-Pancyclic Arcs in Tournaments
Let $T$ be a non-trivial tournament. An arc is emph{$t$-pancyclic} in $T$, if it is contained in a cycle of length $ell$ for every $tleq ell leq |V(T)|$. Let $p^t(T)$ denote the number of $t$-pancyclic arcs in $T$ and $h^t(T)$ the maximum number of $t$-pancyclic arcs contained in the same Hamiltonian cycle of $T$. Moon ({em J. Combin. Inform. System Sci.}, {bf 19} (1994), 207-214) showed that $...
متن کاملNew Large (n, r)-arcs in PG(2, q)
An $(n, r)$-arc is a set of $n$ points of a projective plane such that some $r$, but no $r+1$ of them, are collinear. The maximum size of an $(n, r)$-arc in $PG(2, q)$ is denoted by $m_r(2,q)$. In this paper we present a new $(184,12)$-arc in PG$(2,17),$ a new $(244,14)$-arc and a new $(267,15$)-arc in $PG(2,19).$
متن کاملArcs in Desarguesian nets
A trivial upper bound on the size k of an arc in an r-net is k ≤ r + 1. It has been known for about 20 years that if the r-net is Desarguesian and has odd order, then the case k = r + 1 cannot occur, and k ≥ r−1 implies that the arc is contained in a conic. In this paper, we show that actually the same must hold provided that the difference r − k does not exceed p k/18. Moreover, it is proved t...
متن کاملArcs in Finite Projective Spaces
These notes are an outline of a course on arcs given at the Finite Geometry Summer School, University of Sussex, June 26-30, 2017. Basic objects and definitions Let K denote an arbitrary field. Let Fq denote the finite field with q elements, where q is the power of a prime p. Let Vk(K) denote the k-dimensional vector space over K. Let PGk−1(K) denote the (k − 1)-dimensional projective space ove...
